Gremio goalkeeper Weverton faints from excitement of being picked in Brazil's 2026 World Cup squad - his family members ignore him in wild celebration scenes

Many Brazil players have released clips showing their reactions to being selected in the Selecao's squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

However, none of them is as chaotic or unique as that of Gremio goalkeeper Weverton, who managed to find a place in the squad.

After realizing that he was one of the goalkeepers selected in the Selecao's squad, he was initially shocked and started wildly celebrating.

However, seconds into celebrating with his family members, the Brazilian goalkeeper experienced some problems.

He ended up falling down headfirst onto the floor after collapsing onto a sofa, but none of those around him even realized his state

As they celebrated, Weverton was lying down on the floor after having fainted. It was only a few seconds later when his wife realized something was wrong before he got help.

Weverton made 30 appearances for Gremio in the 2025/26 season, managing 14 clean sheets.
