Gospel singer Vestine Ishimwe opens up about regretting her marriage to Idrissa Jean luc Ouédraogo

Gospel artist Ishimwe Vestine has stirred conversation on social media after publishing a deeply emotional message in which she expresses regret over marrying Idrissa Jean Luc Ouédraogo.

In a lengthy English-language post shared across her platforms, Vestine revealed she is going through a difficult period and feels the life she is currently living is not the one she hoped for. She admitted to having made what she now considers poor decisions, particularly regarding her marriage.

“The life I am living today is not the one I chose. I’m in a difficult season and it’s not what I deserve. I know I made bad choices in my life, but it’s too late. God allows certain things to happen so that we can learn from them. I have cried enough. No man will ever lie to me again and ruin my life,” she wrote.

Sounding remorseful and determined not to repeat past mistakes, Vestine added that if she ever chooses a life partner again, she will be much more careful.

“Next time I choose a man to spend my life with, it will be someone I know well, whose family I know, and everything about him. No one will ever use me again,” she said.

Her message has drawn widespread attention among her followers. A quick look at her Instagram account shows she has deleted all photos featuring her husband, further fueling speculation about the state of their relationship.

Meanwhile, Vestine is currently in Canada, where she has been touring various cities for gospel concerts, a series of shows that wrapped up over the weekend.

Vestine and Idrissa tied the knot on July 5, 2025, after publicly confirming their relationship and completing a civil marriage ceremony. Their union, once celebrated by fans, now appears to be facing serious challenges, according to Vestine’s recent revelations.
