Gen Muganga in Somalia for Eastern African Standby Force meeting
The Rwanda Defence Force Chief of Defence Staff, Gen Mubarakh Muganga attended the 34th Policy Organs Meeting of Eastern Africa Standby Force (EASF) taking place in Mogadishu, Somalia from July 17 to 19.
Gen Muganga was accompanied by Commissioner of Police Gerard Rumanzi, who represented the Inspector General of Police Felix Namuhoranye.
The meeting brought together Chiefs of Defence Staff and Security representatives from EASF Member States.
The meeting deliberated on key policy and strategic issues aimed at enhancing peace and security in the region, the RDF said in a statement.
All member states, but Seychelles, were represented. These are Burundi, Comoros, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Somalia, Sudan, Uganda.
