Kagame in Togo for African Air Transport Convention and Expo
President Paul Kagame on Monday, June 15, arrived in Lome, the capital of Togo, where he will attend the African Air Transport Convention and Expo.
Kagame was received by his Togolese counterpart Faure Gnassingbe.
Taking place from June 15-19, the African Air Transport Convention and Expo will serve as the first continental platform to accelerate the growth and modernization of Africa's air transport sector.
It has brought together policymakers, regulators, airlines, airport operators, investors, maintenance, repair and overhaul providers, aviation training institutions, aerospace manufacturers, and air navigation service providers (ANSPs).
There are also ground handling companies, cargo operators, logistics providers, development partners, industry stakeholders, and innovators.
Anchored in the Single African Air Transport Market (SAATM) and the African Union's Agenda 2063, the event will promote strategic dialogue, showcase innovation, and catalyze investment aimed at bridging infrastructure gaps and building a resilient, sustainable, and competitive African aviation ecosystem.
