Iran fired 80 ballistic missiles at Israel overnight, IDF says
Israeli Defense Minister vows continued strikes on Iranian military sites to neutralize nuclear and weapons threats. Iran civilians near military factories warned to evacuate.

In a dramatic escalation of tensions, Iran launched approximately 80 ballistic missiles against Israel in two separate waves overnight, according to the Israeli military.
The first barrage targeted northern Israel, with about 40 missiles fired. One missile struck a residential home in Tamra, resulting in the deaths of four civilians.
In the second wave, roughly 35 missiles were launched toward central Israel. Among the impacted areas, Bat Yam suffered a direct hit killing at least six civilians and injuring nearly 200 others. Another missile struck Rehovot, wounding an additional 40 people.
In response, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz pledged continued military action against Iranian military sites. Speaking on Sunday, Katz said, “We will strike the sites and continue to peel the skin off the Iranian snake in Tehran and everywhere,” vowing to strip Iran of its nuclear and weapons capabilities.
Katz further condemned Iran’s leadership, accusing it of endangering its own population. “The Iranian dictator is turning Tehran into Beirut and its residents into hostages for the sake of his regime’s survival,” Katz added, as reported by The Times of Israel.
Meanwhile, the Israeli military issued a warning in Persian urging all individuals near military weapons factories and related institutions in Iran to evacuate immediately and refrain from returning until further notice. The spokesperson emphasized that the presence of civilians near these sites puts lives at risk.
The warning did not specify which Iranian facilities or locations might be targeted next, but underscores the intensifying conflict between the two nations.
Israeli officials said Sunday that the death toll from Iran’s missile attack has risen to 10, after two more bodies were found in Bat Yam.
Around 200 people were injured. Authorities said seven people remain missing under the rubble, and rescue efforts may take days.
