The RDCongo senators requested to start a war on Rwanda

Must read

The RDCongo senators requested to start a war on Rwanda, While Rwanda continues to show that the issues that the DRC has are entirely its own, there has never been a strong commitment to finding solutions.

These are the words raised by some of the senators in the general assembly held on Monday, raised by the words of President Kagame when he was in Benin, and he said that the problems Congo has today started even before Tshisekedi, and are based on the governance of that country.

He said that the M23 problem existed even before Tshisekedi became president, as it escalated in 2012.

He said that this movement, its problem is based on the Congolese people who have a history in Rwanda because of the borders that were broken during the colonial period, one part of Rwanda is attached to the east of Congo and the south west of Uganda.

They are no longer Rwandans; they are citizens of the nations where these sections are located.

“That is about history,” he stated, “these issues have been around for a long time, longer than Tshisekedi, and all those who were there at the time are no longer.”

President Kagame stated that those people continued to be disallowed their rights until, in 2012, they took up weapons and battled against their government, but that the problem has reappeared in 2023, after 11 years.

That indicates that it hasn’t been adequately handled, he said.

It is a statement that has not gone over well with certain DRC leaders, who have also proposed that the country attack Rwanda.

Senator Molisho promptly demanded that the Central Military Council meet in the General Assembly on Monday, “confirming that the RDC has begun attacking Rwanda.”

Senator Edouard Mokolo of Mpombo also agreed with the outcome. He suggested that the Senate invite the government and hold special debates.

However, Senate President Modeste Bahati issued a scolding, asking them to improve their behavior so that the people would respect them.

The strategy is known, but you shouldn’t act as though it is only one person’s opinion. Leave the side that everyone is supporting, and let’s serve the country first, he continued.

A law extending the state of emergency in the provinces of North Kivu and Ituri was passed by the Assembly.

It’s not the first time that DRC politicians have spoken out against Rwanda, and some have even urged their governments to launch an assault.

Last year, Adolphe Muzito, former Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, said that in order for his country to have peace, a wall should not be built to separate it from Rwanda.

Adolphe Muzito is familiar with statements of hatred between Rwandans and Congolese people because, even in 2019, he stated that in order to find peace and remove the instability in Eastern Congo, they should attack Rwanda, take it, and annex it to their country.
