Rwandan singer The Ben and Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platnumz reunited this morning at the luxurious Kampala Serena Hotel, ahead of their joint performance scheduled later today in Ntungamo, Uganda.
The two artists, who collaborated on the hit single “Why,” were visibly excited to see each other again. Upon meeting at the hotel, they warmly embraced and chatted briefly, clearly sharing mutual admiration and nostalgia. Moments later, they left together for Entebbe International Airport, where they boarded a helicopter bound for Ntungamo.
During their conversation, Diamond praised The Ben’s recent performance in Kampala, saying, “I saw your concert—it was madness! The girls!” To which The Ben responded modestly, “I did my thing!”
Diamond, clearly pleased to reconnect, invited The Ben to ride with him in his private vehicle so they could catch up on the way, while their entourages followed in separate cars.
Their performance in Ntungamo is part of a major event titled “The Coffee Marathon,” a unique blend of entertainment and charity organized to support rural women coffee farmers in Uganda. The initiative aims to help them overcome poverty through sustainable agriculture.
Entry to the event is priced at 30,000 UGX for those participating in the marathon, and 10,000 UGX for attendees solely interested in the concert.
The Ben joins this event fresh off a successful concert at the Kampala Serena Hotel, where he entertained over 1,500 fans alongside notable acts including Element Eleeeh, Kevin Kade, Ray G, and Rema Namakula, among others.
