As anticipation rises for the second edition of the Diva Beauty Award, young women renowned for their stunning social media presence are set to vie for top honors. This prestigious event, which celebrates Rwanda’s leading beauty professionals, is introducing an exciting new category this year: “Queen of Beauty.”
The “Queen of Beauty” category is a fresh addition to the awards lineup, created to recognize exceptional young women who have made significant strides in the beauty industry and played a role in shaping contemporary beauty standards. This category aims to spotlight individuals who excel in beauty-related activities and have garnered considerable influence in popularizing beauty trends.
Among the contenders for this coveted title are notable figures such as Shaddy Boo, Miss Uwase Raïssa Vanessa—who was the first runner-up at Miss Rwanda 2015—Umukundwa Cadette, Henriette Nene Treccy, Sandrine Reponse (widely known as Swalla), Mutesi Nadia, Ange Bae, Christa Mendes, Teta Nice, and Mamy la Diva. These participants will be judged based on their presentation at the award ceremony, with a focus on their overall appearance and charisma.
The winner of the “Queen of Beauty” title will receive a substantial prize, equivalent to a monthly salary of 500,000 RWF, which totals 6 million RWF over the course of a year. In addition to this financial reward, the winner will benefit from complimentary beauty treatments for a year and other undisclosed prizes.
The Diva Beauty Award 2024 will also celebrate excellence across other categories in the beauty industry. Awards will be given for Best Barber, Best Makeup Artist, Best Nail Technician, Best Lash Artist, Best Hairstyle, Best SPA, Best Tattoo Artist, and Best Hair Salon. The ceremony is set to take place on October 27, 2024, promising a grand showcase of beauty and talent.
