Rwandan Gospel Star Vestine reportedly gives birth in Canada

Ishimwe Vestine, one of the members of the renowned gospel duo Vestine & Dorcas, has reportedly welcomed a baby girl in Canada, where she has been residing for several months.

According to sources close to the singer, the child was born in March 2026 in Vancouver and is now nearly two months old.

Vestine remained in Canada after the gospel duo completed a series of performances there in late 2025. While her sister and music partner, Dorcas, together with their manager M Iréné, returned to Rwanda, Vestine chose to stay behind and has continued living in Canada since then.

In recent weeks, the singer drew public attention after posting a lengthy message on social media in which she expressed unhappiness with her current life situation and regret over certain personal decisions concerning her marriage. The post sparked speculation among fans that she may have separated from her husband, Idrissa Jean Luc Ouédraogo, whom she married in July 2025.

Since Vestine remained in Canada, activities of the duo “Vestine & Dorcas” have reportedly slowed significantly, leading many followers to question the future of the group.
