April 19, 2023KDN (GOMA)-According to Tommy Tambwe Ushindi, the leader of the program for the rehabilitation of veteran soldiers and the security of the country (P-DDRCS), Congo has 252 armed groups.
There are 252 armed groups in Congo, with around 14 from neighboring countries.
Tommy Tambwe Ushindi, speaking at a press conference in Kinshasa on Tuesday, stated that these gangs are battling in five provinces in Eastern Congo.
South Kivu, North Kivu, Ituri, Tanganyika, and Maniema are among these provinces.
Tommy Tambwe Ushindi requests that Congolese rebels lay down their firearms, as requested by President Félix Antoine Tshisekedi, in order to achieve sustainable peace throughout the country.
