Rayon Sports vs APR derby to be postponed

Must read

The highly anticipated league derby between arch-rivals Rayon Sports and APR FC is set to be rescheduled as APR prepares for a crucial CAF Champions League clash against Pyramids, according to Times Sport.

Originally slated for September 14, the match will now be moved to a later date after the league authorities agreed to postpone it, giving APR FC time to focus on their upcoming second-round encounter.

APR FC is set to face Egyptian side Pyramids FC in the second round of the Champions League, a rematch of last season’s clash where Pyramids triumphed 6-1 on aggregate to advance to the group stages.

With the rivalry renewed, APR will be aiming for revenge and will need adequate preparation time. APR advanced to this stage by defeating Azam FC 2-1 on aggregate in the preliminary round.

The first leg against Pyramids will be held in Kigali on September 13, with the return leg scheduled for September 20 in Egypt.
