Nigerian Afropop sensation Joeboy landed in Kigali on the evening of Tuesday, October 1, to work on a highly anticipated music project with Rwandan superstar Bruce Melodie. The collaboration comes shortly after Bruce Melodie released “Iyo Foto,” a track featuring Kenyan artist Bien Aime, which is set to appear on his upcoming debut album.

Joeboy, best known for his hit song “Sip,” arrived in the Rwandan capital accompanied by his management team. The artist was welcomed by Bruce Melodie and his entourage just minutes after touching down, with a dinner organized to mark his arrival. The two artists are set to finalize the audio for their joint project, followed by shooting the music video for the track, which will also be featured on Bruce Melodie’s album.

A representative from 1:55AM, Bruce Melodie’s record label, confirmed Joeboy’s safe arrival, adding, “We will start shooting tomorrow.”

Joeboy’s collaboration with Bruce Melodie marks the third international feature on the Rwandan star’s upcoming album. Prior to this, Bruce Melodie teamed up with South African duo Blaq Diamond and Kenyan vocalist Bien Aime Baraza.
