Rwandan RnB superstar, Jobert Medard Ngabo, popularly Meddy has been nominated in the Africa Magazine Muzik Awards (AFRIMMA). He is the only Rwandan artiste nominated in this year’s awards.
Meddy is nominated for the Best Male East Africa alongside Tanzanian superstars Diamond Platnumz , Lij Michael from Ethiopia, Kenya’s Nyashinski and Bien-Aimé Baraza from Sauti Sol, Eddy Kenzo from Uganda, Mbosso and Harmonize from Tanzania and Single Dee from South Sudan.
In 2021, The Ben, Knowless and Meddy were all nominated, but up to date no Rwandan has ever won the award.
All Africa Muzik Magazine [AFRIMMA]’ is an award show in the United States of America. The ninth annual awards ceremony will be held on September 17, 2023 in Dallas, Texas. It aims to recognize Africans who have excelled in various aspects of the music industry.
Diamond Platnumz of Tanzania and Yemi Alade, Phyno, Zlatan, Kcee, and Ruger of Nigeria will perform at the event.
