Landry Jabo has resigned as Executive Director of the local basketball regulatory organization (FERWABA).
FERWABA president Desire Mugwiza confirmed the news to Times Sport, dismissing claims that he had been dropped.
“FERWABA is growing, and we have a lot of projects that Jabo will be in charge of,” Mugwiza remarked.
He stated that Jabo will take on important projects such as Women’s AfroBasket and the Basketball Africa League (BAL), among others.
“He will also continue working with our (Ferwaba) partners.”
Fionah Ishimwe, the federation’s new Executive Director, will not succeed Jabo.
Landry Jabo has been the Rwanda Basketball Federation’s Afrobasket Coordinator and Executive Director since 2021.
