The Military Club is not happy with the ruling of the FERWAFA Appeals Commission, hence the 1/8 playoff game between Rayon Sports and Intare FC that was scheduled to take place on April 19, 2023 has not taken place.
It was on April 4 that FERWAFA informed both teams that they would play today after spending some time arguing about which team should continue.
Unexpectedly, Intare FC informed FERWAFA in writing that they are unable to take part because they are dissatisfied with the most recent ruling.
He stated in his letter, “The reason why we took that decision is that we are not satisfied with the decision of the Appeals Commission, and we decided to withdraw in order to avoid confrontation.”
Rayon Sports was scheduled to host the play-off at the Bugesera Stadium at 9 am after winning the first leg 2-1.
The team that advances from these two will meet Police FC in the quarterfinals.
