On Sunday, FIFA President Gianni Infantino announced the 12 stadiums that will host the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, scheduled to take place in the United States from June 15 to July 13. The announcement was made during the Global Citizen Festival in Central Park, New York, marking a significant moment in football history.

The 2025 tournament will feature 32 of the world’s best football clubs competing over 29 days, culminating in a grand final at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on July 13. MetLife Stadium, which will also host the FIFA World Cup 2026 final, was chosen as the venue for the Club World Cup final.

Infantino described the upcoming tournament as a new era for global club football. “Football is the most popular sport on the planet, and in 2025 a new era for club football will kick off when FIFA stages the greatest, most inclusive, and merit-based global club competition right here in the United States,” he said.

In addition to MetLife Stadium, 11 other stadiums across the United States will host the tournament, including:

  • Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta
  • Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina
  • TQL Stadium in Cincinnati
  • Rose Bowl Stadium in Los Angeles
  • Hard Rock Stadium in Miami
  • GEODIS Park in Nashville, Tennessee
  • Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida
  • Inter&Co Stadium in Orlando
  • Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia
  • Lumen Field in Seattle
  • Audi Field in Washington, D.C.

Infantino emphasized the tournament’s focus on inclusivity and global representation. “This new FIFA competition is the only true example in worldwide club football of real solidarity and inclusivity,” he said, stressing the participation of clubs from all regions of the world.

The 2025 edition is set to be a major milestone in the evolution of club football, with fans from the 32 competing clubs expected to generate immense excitement. Infantino concluded his announcement by expressing his enthusiasm for the tournament: “It has been an honor to make this significant tournament announcement before an enormous, energetic crowd at the Global Citizen Festival here in New York. The fans of the 32 competing clubs will create a similar buzz at the FIFA Club World Cup next year when we take it to the world.”

The tournament draw is scheduled for December, with 30 of the 32 participating teams already confirmed. The final two spots will be filled by one team from South America and one representing the host country, the United States. FIFA will release more details about the group stage draw, which will divide the teams into eight groups of four, in the coming months.
