Curing the Blue Screen of Death: MSI’s Solution for Windows 10 and 11 Compatibility Issues

Must read

MSI has initiated the release of new updates aimed at addressing the “Blue Screen of Death” issue on computers running Windows 10 or 1

This issue specifically emerged on computers equipped with MSI motherboards featuring Intel processors from the 600 and 700 series, users also reported encountering this problem on devices with motherboards from other manufacturers.

The issue caused system crashes accompanied by the appearance of the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) and an error message stating “UNSUPPORTED_PROCESSOR,” indicating a processor incompatibility.

MSI has confirmed the identification and resolution of the problem, attributing it to the software responsible for Intel Hybrid Architecture, a system hybrid technology.

It is said that the Blue Screen of Death only affects computers featuring Intel Core i9 processors from the thirteenth generation when installing the latest updates for Windows 10 and 11.

This issue can be mitigated by downloading and installing the new update released by MSI, targeting the Basic Input/Output System (BIOS), currently, the update is focused on motherboards with Intel 600 and 700 series processors, with plans to expand its coverage to other models in the coming weeks.

Initially, Microsoft pointed fingers at hardware component manufacturers when the issue was first detected, affirming that it was hardware-related rather than an outcome of the Windows updates.
