At the age of 62, Congolese coach Andy Mfutila, who coached APR FC and Rayon Sports, has died.
The man, who had been sick since last Sunday, July 16, 2023, passed away at the Kinshasa University Hospital on Friday, July 21, 2023. He had been there for a couple of days.
Andy Mfutila is famous in Rwanda, where he coached APR FC in 2007-2008 and they won three trophies including the National Championship, Peace cup and the CECAFA Kagame Cup.
This coach also coached Rayon Sports in 2014.
Mfutila joined the TP Mazembe Coaches team in May, and the entire squad competed in the 2009 CAF Champions League.
Mfutila has coached a variety of teams, including AS Vital Club, Saint-Éloi Lupopo, Don Bosco, and the National Team of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
