A group of APR FC supporters traveling to Tanzania for their team’s CAF Champions League match encountered a minor road accident on the night of Wednesday, August 14, near Nyagasambu in Rwamagana District. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported, and the fans were able to continue their journey after a brief delay. Local authorities quickly responded to the incident, ensuring that everyone was safe and providing the necessary assistance. The fans remained in high spirits, determined to support their team in the upcoming match, despite the unexpected setback on their way to Tanzania.

The fans were on their way to Dar es Salaam to cheer for APR FC in their upcoming match against Azam FC, scheduled for Sunday, August 18.

Five passengers sustained minor injuries in the accident and were taken to Kanombe Hospital where they received treatment.

The remaining fans continued their journey, although they had to switch vehicles twice due to mechanical issues.

APR FC is set to clash with Azam FC in the first leg of the CAF Champions League preliminary round on Sunday, August 18, at 5:00 PM. The Rwandan giants are gearing up for this crucial match, with plans to depart from Kigali on Friday, August 16, to ensure ample preparation time.
