Bisimwa the president of M23 responded to the Tshisekedi’s speech

Bertrad Bisimwa, Director General of ARC/M23, responded to the president’s harsh words of scathing remarks.

Bertrad Bisimwa expressed this via the Twitter platform: “The fact that President Tshisekedi continues to refuse talks with M23, shows contempt and disrespect for the peace process established by the Heads of the EAC countries in the Launda and Nairobi talks.”

M23 will continue to abide by its demands, according to Beltrad Bisimwa, who also said that the group is prepared to engage in combat if the FARDC commits the error of inciting trouble or attempting to retake the territories that M23 is freeing.

Early in March 2023, Canisius Munyarugero, M23’s deputy political spokesman, told Karinijabo of primo Media Rwanda that “M23 will not continue to respect the decisions of Luanda and Nairobi alone and that the time will come and leave it too.”

The deal between M23 and Kinshasa continues to be challenging since both parties continue to disagree and mistrust one another, according to Uhuru Kenyatta, the former president of Kenya and the mediator in the Nairobi negotiations.

Due to M23’s compliance with all standards, he also requested that the DRC Government include it in the Nairobi discussions. However, the DRC Government has not yet made any announcements regarding this request.

The M23 disagrees with President Tshisekedi’s request for them to immediately disarm and return to normal life in the Kindu region.

M23 claims that although the passage of Congolese refugees who speak Rwandan is one of their motivations for fighting, they would keep fighting until Kinshasa accepts the discussions and puts them into effect.
