Thierry Froger and his assistant coach Khouda Karim, have landed in Rwanda, where they will begin coaching APR FC in the upcoming 2023–24 season.
These French coaches landed in Rwanda on Thursday, July 20, 2023, in the morning.
The men were received by the General Secretary of APR FC, Masabo Michel, together with its Spokesperson, Tony Kabanda and Ntazinda Eric who is in charge of the daily operations of this Defense team.

Froger, a 60-year-old Frenchman who played for prestigious French clubs including Lille, Grenoble, and Le Mans, has been a professional coach for 29 years.
Le Mans FC, Lille, LB Châteauroux, FC Gueugnon, Stade Reims, Nîmes Olympique, Vannes OC, and US Créteil were just a few of the best French clubs he coached at.
He has worked in other parts of Africa, going to Arta/Solar7 in Djibouti, USM Alger in Algeria, and TP Mazembe in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. In 2010, he led Togo, the only national team he has ever coached.
His friend, Khouda Karim, worked with him at USM Alger, but he also went through others including US Le Pontet and JS Saoura, where he was an assistant, and he became the head coach at JSM Béjaïa and CS Constantine.
Dr. Adel Zrane, the athlete’s fitness coach, is being awaited by the two men. The Rwanda Defense Team’s goalkeepers will be coached by Ndizeye Aimé Desiré, also known as “Ndanda,” Former APR FC goalkeeper.
After playing just domestic players for 11 years, APR FC opened the market to foreign players, purchasing seven players ranging from defenders to attackers.
Those players include Pavelh Ndzila, Taddeo Lwanga, Nshimirimana Ismaël ‘Pitchou’, Apam Assongwe Bemol, Victor Mbaoma, Banga Salomon Bindjeme and Sharafeldin Shaiboub Ali.
