To finalize the Harry Kane deal, Bayern Munich seek new meeting with Daniel Levy

Must read

Bayern Munich is intensifying their pursuit of Harry Kane and plans to arrange another meeting with Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy. Despite having two bids rejected already, the Bundesliga champions are determined to secure Kane, whose contract with Tottenham expires in 2024.

Tottenham, on the other hand, has not specified an asking price for their star striker, as they are hopeful of securing his long-term future and Kane’s representatives have not ruled out the possibility of him staying at the club.

Recently, Levy met with Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen, but there was no indication that Kane would be sold. Sources have revealed that Dreesen and Bayern technical director Marco Neppe skipped the club’s pre-season tour of Asia to meet Levy in person again, hoping to negotiate a deal for Kane.

Despite the pursuit from Bayern, Levy remains optimistic that the impact of head coach Ange Postecoglou could convince Kane to stay at Spurs.

Bayern has considered including a player in their next bid, with Benjamin Pavard being a potential option. The bid is expected to be a club-record £86m, but it’s unclear if this will sway Tottenham, who are also discussing other Bundesliga center-backs, including Edmond Tapsoba and Micky van de Ven.

Bayern chairman Herbert Hainer, who is also focused on signing Kyle Walker from Manchester City, has openly expressed the club’s interest in Kane. He emphasized the importance of bringing international stars to the Bundesliga, describing Kane as a highly attractive player, the England captain, and a top scorer who would greatly benefit both Bayern and the Bundesliga.
