The Miss Burundi 2023 pageant has reached its final phase, and as of this declaration, 11 girls—out of the 26 who passed the preliminary round which took place on April 29, 2023.
The pageant started with 142 girls who registered from March 22, 2023 to compete for the crown of intelligence, beauty and culture.
The 11 girls who qualified for the final stage of the competition were selected by a panel of judges consisting of Dr Nduwayo Cynthia, Daly Ngarambe and Ketty Ruhara.
These include Ngabirano Belle Ange Edissa, Keza Blandine, Ishimwe Netty Louange, Kezimana Mélissa, Barungura Lyne Chella, Irakoze Erica Aimé Carolle, Uwera Ricky Tricia, Kenguruka Clara, Igiraneza Ange Charlène, Mugisha Elsie Amandine and Ndayizele Lellie Carelle.
It is planned that the crowning ceremony of Miss Burundi 2023 will be held on June 16, 2023.
The winner of the Miss Burundi 2023 crown will receive a Toyota Ractis car, 480 liters of fuel, car insurance, will be serviced, will be paid for schooling, and will receive a salary of 500,000 Fbu.
The winner of the First Runner-up will be awarded 2,500,000 Fbu, the Second Runner-up will receive 2,000,000 Fbu and Miss Popularity will be awarded 1,000,000 Fbu.
When this competition ended on May 6, 2022, Ngaruko Kelly won the crown of Miss Burundi 2022, beating 57 girls who competed.
